Sri Lankan cricketers Mubarak and G Wijekoon made their T20 debuts in this match. Kenya won the toss and opted to field first and Sri Lanka scored 260 runs with 6 wickets down in 20 overs. As the all-day long 50-over format of one day cricket has been reduced to 20 over format, which is much faster, many criticisms have taken place about this format, especially by experts and those who have followed traditional cricket style.
