Philippe Coutinho

Salah has been one of Roma’s best players for the last two and a half years after his transfer from Premier League reigning champions Chelsea.  He is set to make the Reds even more of a threat on the counter-attack after having scored 15 Serie A goals last season with 11 assists. He is one of the few new players to be named as the best player of the season.

Eden Hazard

Belgian attacking midfielder Eden Hazard is considered as one of the best footballers of modern times and is also one of the main contestants of Premier League best players 2017/18. He joined the premier league side Chelsea in 2012 and already scored 57 goals in 174 games for the Blues. Hazard scored his first goal in Premier League match against Newcastle United on August 2012 and became one of the youngest goal-scorers of Premier League. Harry Kane

He joined the Spurs in 2009 and scored 78 marvellous goals in just 113 appearances for the club. Kane scored in last season-opening goal in a 4-0 win against Stoke City and never stopped scoring after that. He signed a new contract with Tottenham in December 2016 and made his 100th English Premier League appearance in January the following year. Harry Kane achieved the award of Player of the Month for February 2017 and became the fourth player in league history to score 20 or more goals in three consecutive seasons. He scored a total of 29 goals in 30 matches last season and is one of the Premier League best players 2017/18.

Honourable Mention: Zlatan Ibrahimović

Who dares to complete the ranking without the Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimović? This marvellous striker joined the Premier League side Manchester United last season and scored 17 goals in 28 matches for the club. He is often referred as the third best player in modern football, only after Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Zlatan scored his debut goal for Manchester on the opening day of last season’s Premier League against Bournemouth. He became the oldest player to score at least 15 goals in a single Premier League season in February 2017. It is now uncertain that Zlatan will stay with Manchester United for the upcoming season, but if he stays then he will surely be among the Premier League best players 2017/18.
