English Premier League Highlights 2017/18

The Moments are not really the definition of one’s gameplay though. One miraculous or one degrading moment cannot have the power to determine or define how a team or player actually is. These are just random moments in the history of Premier League that tend to be incredibly amusing. It may be a record breaking thing or it may also be something the world has never seen. These moments can occur time and again. And for those times, here are the best ones that really made it to our heads last year.

Last 5 EPL matches highlights

Liverpool vs. Middlesbrough

Held on 21st of may in 2017, this match was much like the other previous match both the teams had earlier in the same league. Liverpool being the obviously best one, scored 3 goals before the match ended while Middlesbrough scored nil. Much like history repeats itself, this scoresheet was repeated on the next match as well. Liverpool again went for the triple goal while Middlesbrough tried and achieved nothing.

Manchester United vs. Crystal Palace

The match which was held on 21st of may, Manchester United scored 2 goals and got the game into their hands. It was pretty much obvious at the beginning and the obviously the position of the teams. Crystal Palace could not earn any goals in the match leading to a 2-0 score in favour of the 13 times Premier League Champion Manchester United.

Southampton vs. Stoke City

On 21st of may, Southampton couldn’t score any goals against Stoke City but the score turned up to be 0-1 in favour of Stoke City. Despite the amazing tension building up in the match, Southampton failed to deliver good performance much like the previous one with the same opponent. But that time, the score was a 0-0 draw, which gives a nudge to the fact that Southampton and Stoke City are almost as good as their opponent.

Swansea City vs. West Bromwich Albion

On 21st may, Swansea City won by the score of 2-1. Much improvement than their last match where West Brom defeated Swansea with a lethal score of 3-2. It was almost as if Swansea were trying to redeem their honour and get back on track with the game. Well, they did it, more power to them.

Watford vs. Manchester City

This was the last match of the season and it had to be a blast while Watford was still taking it in, Manchester City scored whopping 5 goals including one of the Premier League’s top scorers Aguero’s goal. This was the hammer to the hot iron as Watford already had lost another match to Manchester City Previously in the league. May the next season bring amazing gameplay and luck to the Watford.

Some of the best Moments of Premier League 2016/17

Emre Can’s Scorpion Kick

He scored that spectacular overhead goal against Watford with an outstanding assist from Lucas. This definitely increases hopes for the English Premier League highlights 2017/18.

Liverpool took a crucial step to sealing Champions League qualification as Emre Can expertly score a goal of the season contender to defeat Watford on Monday night. Jurgen Klopp had seen Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal drop valuable points in the battle for the Premier League top four before his side toured to Vicarage Road – and they took full advantage of that. Despite an unremarkable 90 minutes, the game was settled when Can lit up a cold Hertfordshire night with a brilliant volley in first-half stoppage time to seal a 1-0 victory. The win took Liverpool four points clear of United in fifth, although they had played a game more than their ever rivals.

Premier League Golden Boot winner Harry Kane scored a stunning hat-trick to wrap up the Premier League Golden Boot as Tottenham finished an impressive campaign with a 7-1 beating of relegated Hull City. Mauricio Pochettino’s squad failed to keep pace with champions Chelsea, but end the season with 86 points, by far their best tally in the Premier League, defeating their previous record by 14. Kane had cheekily jumped past Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez in the top-scorer stakes with a remarkable four goals against Leicester City on Thursday and held them off with back-to-back trebles to finish the campaign on a total tally of 29 league goals. According to the experts and we quote”! The best match I’ve ever seen! The highest scoreline this season!

Spurs’ goals summed up their stunning form with Dele Alli, Victor Wanyama, Ben Davies and Toby Alderweireld all joining Kane to subject City to their heaviest Premier League defeat.

Speaking of English premier league highlights 2017/18, we have to reminisce the  Colombian goalkeeper’s amazing clearance. There’s a good reason people STILL discuss Colombia goalkeeper Rene Higuita doing that absurd clearance against England during a 1995 friendly at Wembley.

It’s mostly because footballers are simply not meant to do this sort of thing. And yet, remarkably indeed, Henrikh Mkhitaryan did a proper scorpion kick during a Premier League match.

He tripped up taking the corner and managed to give away a free-kick for handball! Charlie Adam has lived up to his rather unfortunate reputation as one of the Premier League’s most unfashionable players with a ridiculously bad corner fail. The Stoke City midfielder was given an out from the contract at the end of the season.

The Scotland international is sincerely hoping to impress Mark Hughes in order to earn a new deal at the bet365 stadium. We definitely want to see something like this in the English Premier League highlights 2017/18.

Sanchez’s step-over

The final highlight of the matches constitutes of Sanchez’s step over. He then chipped it over the goalie for Arsenal’s 5-1 victory over West Ham. Alexis Sanchez demolished the home team with three goals and an assist, a stunning result which moves Arsenal up to third. They were 13 games undefeated in the league, while West Ham lost their eighth, thus equaling their entire total from last season.
