FIFA World Cup 2014 Groups
The FIFA WORLD CUP 2014, an international men’s association football tournament will be the 20th FIFA World Cup and is going to be hosted in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014. Brazil will be hosting this competition for the second time, the first being in 1950.
A total number of 32 teams will be taking part in this competition and the host country, with full zeal and zest, is making preparations for this big event. Though, it has become a growing worry for the host team to make all the best arrangements yet it is still struggling really hard to bring the best out of it. A 68,000-seat stadium has been thought of hosting the inaugural match between Croatia and Brazil which is scheduled on June 12. As far as the security issue is concerned, police and armed forces along with the 20,000 private security staff will also be trained to work at World Cup venues and inside stadiums.
It will be at FIFA WORLD CUP 2014 that for the first time the matches will use the goal line technology. Following the mistake that happened in the previous World Cup when England were wrongly denied a goal in their Round of 16 tie against Germany, it was decided that the goal-line technology will be incorporated in the FIFA World Cup 2014.
