ICC official denies Mohammad Amir’s ban lift reports: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has denied reports of ban being partially lifted on Pakistan’s Young pacer Mohammad Amir and he has been allowed to play domestic cricket. Aamir Was Banned Along With Muhammad Asif and Former Test Captain Salman Butt By ICC For the Spot Fixing Scandal in 2010.
“There is no such decision taken by the ICC,” an ICC official said on Friday. “ICC may reconsider its decision or continue to stick to its previous decision regarding Amir this October after its meeting,” he added.
“However, no such decision has been taken yet,” he reiterated. It was reported in the media that the ICC has officially informed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) about permitting Amir to play domestic cricket. Acting PCB chairman Mr Najam Sethi has said that he is seeking ICC’s favor in Amir’s case.
