Saeed Ajmal says that his bowling still remains a mystery for the batsman
Saeed Ajmal, the mystery spinner from Pakistan has said that his bowling is a mystery for most of the batsman and the main reason being the inability of the batsman to pick his doosra.
Talking with the media reporters at Lahore , the mystery spinner said that every bowler has ups and downs in his career but this never means that the bowler is finished . My mystery has yet not finished , he added. Ajmal also pointed out the fact that most of the batsman know that he will be bowling a doosra but he still manages to get them out with the same delivery which gives him a lot of satisfaction.
Ajmal has just retured home after a after a successful stint with Worcestershire county and is all geared up for the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka, where they are scheduled to play 2 Test matches and 3 ODIs. This series will be the last test series for Sri Lankan legend , Mahela Jayawardena. He added that the stint in English county has helped him to recharge himself as a bowler and be fresh again as he went to England along with his wife.
Talking about his bowling in test cricket, he said that playing a lot of T20 and 50 over matches has not affected his Test match bowling. I love to bowl long spells and remain hungry for wickets , Ajmal added.
Talking about the pitches prepared, he said that with the increasing number of flat pithces being prepared now a days, the task for the spinners has become tougher . But he added that the real test of a bowler is when he bowls on flat pitches and show casts his talent .
Saeed Ajmal has picked 169 Test wickets in 33 Test matches and 182 ODI wickets in 110 matches but is still to earn a Man of the Match award.
Pakistan is scheduled to play Sri Lanka in the UAE , which will be followed by Test series against New Zealand and Australia.
