South Africa take series Against New Zealand

South Africa win the second match of the ongoing series against the Kiwis by 72-run at Mount Maunganui on Friday and thus take a 2-0 advantage to grab the series.

Earlier New Zealand won the toss and elected to field, but the decision did not pay off. Dropping Amla twice in the match costs them badly as Amla completed his 16th ODI century. Amla becomes the fastest person to complete 16 ODI centuries from 94 ODI innings breaking the record of Virat Kohli who achieved this feat after playing 110 matches. Amla scored a brilliant 119 of just 135 balls with the help of 15 boundaries. He got a superb support from Faf du Plessis who scored a quick fire 67 runs of just 73 deliveries. At a stage South Africa were 255/3 in 44 overs but they only managed to score 282 runs with four of their batsmen being dismissed for a duck. Let’s see how South Africa take series Against New Zealand.
