9. Crystl Bustos

At number 9 is Crystl Bustos. She was a power hitter who batted at third hole. She has a lot of achievements to her name like winning 3 Olympic medals (silver in 2008 and two gold in 2000 and 2004), two times gold winner in Pan American Games and she was winner of the World Cup Championship three times in 1999, 2006 and 2007. She was also named the 2008 USA Softball Player of the Year.

8. Natasha Watley


At number 8 in Top 10 Best Softball Athletes 2016 is Natasha Watley. She was the first African-American player to play in the US Softball team and she is among the greatest hitters in softball and to date holds many records. She was part of the gold winning team in 2004 Athens Olympics and silver in 2008 Beijing Olympics. She has the highest career hits in National Pro Fastpitch and one of the selected few NCAA players to bat at at least .400 with 300 hits, 200 runs and 100 stolen bases.
