While all human posses the natural ability to run on their feet, sprinters take this to another level. The top speed of an average Olympic sprinter can reach up to 40 kmph which is incredibly fast! Sprint events have traditionally been an exciting affair during any sporting meet and as such they are still pretty popular. 10. Trayvon Bromell
At number 10 in Top 10 Sprinters 2016 is Trayvon Bromell from USA. This teenager from USA became an overnight sensation when he ran 100m in 9.84 seconds during the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championship. What’s even crazier is that he is just a teenager and this makes him the fastest time ever for a teenager, 10 fastest time ever and 4th fastest time by an American. He has already been selected to represent the USA National team during 2016 Olympics.

9. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce
At number 9 in Top 10 Sprinters 2016 is Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce from Jamaica. Current 100m Olympic and World Women Champion was the first Jamaican to win an Olympic gold in 2008 and since then has defended her spot as no.1 in 2012 Olympic thus becoming the second woman to consecutively win 100m events. She is nicknamed “Pocket Rocket” due to her small size but explosive running and is expected to add more medals to her tally in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

8. Richard Thompson
At number 8 in the list is Richard Thompson from Trinidad and Tobago. He is one of the most underrated sprinters of current time not because his form is not consistent but because he has mostly silvers in the important races unlike other sprinters. He ran 100m in 9.89 second but was beaten by Bolt during 2008 Olympics. This time though, he would want to have the last laugh.
