Currently ranked 10th in the world by IITF, he rose to prominence when he won four individual titles in the 2009 World Junior Championship. His another major feat in recent times is when he reached the finals of World Championships in 2015 by defeating the second seeded Xu Xin and the defending champion Zhang Jike.

9. Chuang Chih-Yuan

At number 9 in Top 10 Table Tennis Players is Chuang Chih-Yuan from Taiwan. Currently ranked 9th in the world by IITF, he came from a family with a table tennis background with his dad being a national doubles champion and his mother a member of Taiwan national team. He has achieved his highest career ranking of World Number 3 back in 2003 when he won the Brazil Open. He has won IITF Would Tour titles thrice in 2003 Brazil Open, 2011 Chile Open and 2012 Spanish Open. He was also winner of IITF World Tour Grand Finals in 2002.

8. Marcos Freitas

At number 8 in Top 10 Table Tennis Players is Marcos Freitas from Portugal. Currently ranked 8 in the world by ITTF, he has a middle distance offensive playing style. He has been a consistent performer in the European Championships, winning bronze in 2008 and gold in 2011 in men’s doubles event. He was also the semifinalist in 2013 and won the tournament in 2014 in singles.
