You can’t put a price on potential, but that hasn’t stopped clubs around Europe from slapping some huge asking prices on their young stars in a bid to fend off interest or cash in on a player who might not turn out to be as good as they thought.

10. Anthony Martial:
We start our list with Manchester United front man, Anthony Martial. The 19 year old kid was the main attention for Manchester United’s summer window transfer and eventually got him for £36 million, the highest fee paid for a teenager in football history.
He spent his youth career, playing the senior team for 2 years and scoring 11 goals. An international from France, he made his debut for France on 2015.
9. Munir El-Haddadi:
On number 9 in our list of young players Europe 2016 is Munir El-Haddadi. The 19-year-old is expected to be the next Barcelona youngster to make the grade in the first team.
He impressed as a regular for Luis Enrique’s side at the start of the season, but his opportunities were curtailed when Luis Suarez became available to the Catalans following the end of his four-month suspension.

8. Aleksander Mitrovic:
The next person to come in our list of young players Europe 2016 is Serbian international, Aleksander Mitrovic. The 20-year-old Serbia striker has starred in Belgium since signing for Anderlecht in 2013.
With a strike rate of nearly a goal every other game, He has signed for Newcastle United for a reported fee of £13 million.

7. Mateo Kovacic:
The 7th contender in our list of young player Europe is Croatian midfielder, Mateo Kovacic. Kovačić began his professional career with Dinamo Zagreb at the age of 16, with whom he won two consecutive league titles, before joining Inter Milan in 2013. A Croatian international since 2013, Kovačić represented the nation at the 2014 FIFA WORLD CUP. In 2015, Inter had to sell him to Real Madrid for a speculated fee of €32 million for Financial Fair Play Rule.

6. Luke Shaw:
Playing at number 6 in our list of young players Europe 2016 is Manchester United left back Luke Shaw. Originally a Southampton youth product, he has played two full seasons with senior team after Manchester United for £30 million. He donned his national colors for England 6 times.

5. Dominico Berardi:
On number 5th in our list of young players Europe 2016 is Sassuolo striker Dominico Berardi. Berardi has scored 10 goals this season and has already attracting big names in European Circuit. He has been in praises from Fomer AC Milan and Italy manager, Arrigo Sacchi, “He’s a player of great talent, a modern footballer who plays for the team all over the field,”.

4. Max Meyer:
On 4th in our list of young players Europe 2016, we have German attacking midfielder Max Meyer. He dons the number 7 shirt in Schalke 04. Starting his career at Schalke, He was named as the Golden Player at the 2012 UEFA European Under-17 Championship after finishing the tournament as top scorer. He has appeared 78 times for the senior team and has put the ball 13 times behinf the net.

In 2013, at the age of just 19, he moved to PSG from Roma for a huge €31.5m fee for a five year contract. He played for Serie A side Roma for 26 appearances and made 57 appearances and scored 4 times. He has won the domestic double and domestic treble in his first and second season consecutively, the Ligue 1 and the Coupe de la Liguedouble in both of his first two seasons, also winning the Coupe de France alongwith the other 2 trophies in his second season.

2. Adnan Januzaj:
The runners up in our list of Young players Europe 2016 is Belgium winger, Adnan Januzaj. Arguably the biggest benefactor from David Moyes’ doomed Old Trafford reign, Januzaj was one of the few highlighting points in David Moyes reign at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old Belgian struggled to make an impression on Louis van Gaal, making just eight starts in the Dutchman’s first campaign in charge. On his second season, he has been loaned to Borussia Dortmund as Van Gaal said he needed more game-playing time. He has 46 appearances and scored 5 times.

1. Raheem Sterling:
The winner in our list of Young Players Europe 2016 is English striker Raheem Sterling. Sterling has been the centre of attention for many a big clubs including his home club Liverpool who was desperate to keep him rejecting dual bids from City of £30 million and £40 million eventually signing for £44 million with £5 million add ons.
Sterling has been a sensation for Liverpool scoring 18 goals in 95 appearances.
