4 October 1996 : Pakistan pathan, Shahid Afridi, playing only his second one day International match, not only scored the fastest century in ODI cricket (now his record has been broken by Corey Andeson), [check the new list of fastest centuries in ODIs) he also achieved the feet of being the youngest batsman to score a century in 50 over format. Interestingly, Afridi had borrowed that bat from his mate Waqar Younis, become luckey for BOOM BOOM.
