Roma lost to Inter Milan in the first Serie A match played in their home stadium. Though Roma took the lead in the 15th min with a goal by Edin Dzeko, Inter leveled the score in the 67th min with a shot by Mauro Icardi, who helped Inter take the lead in the 77th min. Matías Vecino secured Internazionale’s win with the 3rd goal in the 87th min.

In their first match of September, Roma earned a win against Chapecoense, with Alessandro Florenzi opening the score for Roma with a penalty shot in the 29th min. This was followed by 3 more goals, by Diego Perotti in the 38th min. Mirco Antonucci scored another penalty in the 42nd min, and made a goal in the 51st min. Alan Ruschel scored the only goal for Chapecoense in the 56th min.

AS Roma started quite strongly in this Serie A game against Verona which they proved when they got their first score from a brilliant strike by Radja Nainggolan in the 22nd minute of the game.  Edin Dzeko then scored the second goal in the 33rd minute followed by another goal of him in the 61st minute of the match. Verona failed to score any equalizer in the second half thus ending the match with 3-0 in favor of Roma.

AS Roma started the Serie A match quite confidently against Benevento and got their first goal from a brilliant strike by Edin Dzeko in the 22nd minute. Shortly after that, Fabio Lucioni scored an own goal in the 35th minute. Edin Dzeko then scored his second goal in the 52nd minute followed by Lorenzo Venuti’s own goal in the 74th minute. AS Roma won the match with 4-0 score.
