Conte has seemingly been quite desperate to rope a new striker in, and he even looked at Peter Crouch from Stoke last week in his state of desperation. However, the contract of Dzeko, who will turn 32 in March, will expire in 2020 with Roma, and he has experiences in Premier League and is a noted goalscorer for Manchester City.

Roma has ready to let go of him and this decision has also convinced Dzeko to make a move to the Stamford Bridge club, where a deal of £120000 per week is waiting to be signed. There are strict rules in place at Chelsea on the deals addressing footballers over 30 of age, but the team seems set to bend those rules in order to bring in Dzeko, as the striker of Roma wants some add-ons. Chelsea has also been searching for a new left-back, and Emerson seems to be the perfect fit, after their failure to bring in Alex Sandro from Juventus.

Dzeko has a valuation of about £30 million in this deal, as Roma will potentially get almost an additional £10 million as add-ons on the basis of success and appearances. However, team Chelsea is worried about Thibaut Courtois, their keeper, who has not yet agreed to a new contract. The Belgian international has received the offer of a deal worth more than £200000 per week to remain in the team, but has also become the new target for Spanish giants Real Madrid.
