Eden Hazard blames Alvaro Morata for Chelsea’s draw against ArsenalPosted By: Sourav Das | January 5, 2018
The world has witnessed one of the most memorable and full-of-Adrenalin match on Wednesday between Arsenal and Chelsea. The clash at the Emirates stadium is one of the most viewed games this festive season, which tragically ended as a draw. The first half of the match remained goalless and Arsenal took the lead in the beginning of the second half with Jack Wilshere’s brilliant strike. Shortly after, Chelsea had their equalizer from an Eden Hazard penalty. Marcos Alonso then put Chelsea into lead which then equalized by Hector Bellerin to end the match with 2-2 draw. And now Chelsea’s talisman Eden Hazard blames Alvaro Morata for their draw against the Gunners.

The ex-Real Madrid star missed brilliant one-on-one chances thrice in the game which is absolutely not accepted for a £70 million summer signing. After he missed the first two chances, Marcos Alonso brilliantly netted the ball to make it 2-1 for Chelsea. But Hector Bellerin scored a brilliant equalizer in the stoppage time. Alvaro Morata then again had his third chance in the last minute of the game which he shot incredibly flat at Petr Cech. Chelsea fans witnessed same kind of pathetic performance of Morata in the match against Stoke City where he missed two clear chances to score. The Spaniard is definitely having a goal-drought as he scores just once in the last seven Premier League matches of Chelsea.
At the post-match conference, Belgian international and one of the best players of Premier League, Eden Hazard, said that they should have taken all three points if the team concentrated to make some clinical finishes in the match. During his interview with Sky Sports he said “Maybe we should score more goals, we missed a lot of chances.” While talking about their chance to score the winning goal in the last minute, Eden Hazard said “Yeah, I think the last shot should be a goal” and added “Just before that Alvaro missed the chance, Petr did a good performance today.” While talking about the brilliant saves by Petr Čech, he said “I think Petr is a great goalkeeper, it’s always hard to score against him.” When asked about if the draw between the team was fair, Hazard replied “No, I think Chelsea should win this game because of the chances we missed.”
