Some of the best Moments of Premier League 2017/18

David Luiz’s Red Card

The Brazil international has been one of the building blocks of Antonio Conte’s success spell in west London since he returned from PSG last year, turning in solid performances week-in week-out. But on Sunday he displayed the kind of rash play that saw him criticised during his first spell at Stamford Bridge. Luiz clattered into Arsenal ace Sead Kolasinac after overrunning the ball and was promptly shown a straight red card by referee Michael Oliver. That sending off has resulted in a three-game ban for the 30-year-old – ruling him out of upcoming fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Stoke and Manchester City.

Sergio Aguero’s amazing hat-trick

Sergio Aguero has sent a reminder of his class with an “amazing” hat-trick as Manchester City climbed to the top of the Premier League and sent an ominous warning to their title rivals with a 6-0 victory at Watford. Aguero’s 10th hat-trick in City sky blue took his goal tally for the club to 175 — two fewer than all-time top scorer Eric Brook but incredibly his future at the Etihad had been questioned following the emergence of 20-year-old Gabriel Jesus. Jesus has scored 12 goals in 16 Premier League games including one in the rout at Watford.

Manchester City’s humiliating 5 goal win over Liverpool

Manchester City handed Jurgen Klopp his heaviest Premier League defeat, beating 10-man Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Liverpool had started dangerously but, on 24 minutes Sergio Aguero received Kevin De Bruyne’s through-ball and rounded Simon Mignolet to score. in the sixth minute of first-half stoppage time, an unmarked Gabriel Jesus headed in De Bruyne’s cross. Jesus made it 3-0 on 53 minutes when Sergio Aguero, through on goal, squared for the Brazilian to finish. Leroy Sane came on to add gloss to the scoreline, firstly converting a neat one-two with Benjamin Mendy and then curling home a stunning goal in stoppage time.

Mkhitaryan record Premier league Assist

In the 26th season of Premier League, Henrikh Mkhitaryan of Manchester United has already assisted a record number of 5 times in just 3 games. No-one has ever made a quicker start to the season in this regard, with the 28-year-old Armenia international playmaker drawing level with Ruel Fox of Newcastle, who also created five goals in the first three matches of the 1994-95 season. He set up strikes for Romelu Lukaku and Anthony Martial in the 4-0 win over West Ham on the opening day of the season then created goals for the Belgian and Paul Pogba a week later against Swansea.

Sadio Mane’s controversial Red Card

Manchester City’s brilliant 5-0 win over Liverpool and the harsh foul committed by sdio Mane on city’s Goalkeeper Ederson by kicking him in the face was one the most eye catching moments this season. The footballing world has been divided over the controversial Sadio Mane red card. Given that Mane nearly kicked Ederson’s face clean off of his skull, you have to accept that Moss might have had a point. But then why wasn’t Newcastle’s Matt Ritchie sent off for a similar offence on Alfie Mawson? This debate makes it a controversy as straight sending-off appears to have gone down as one of the most polarising decisions in Premier League history
