Brazillian professional Fernandinho, who plays in the role of a midfielder, is a noteworthy player who represents Manchester United in the Premier League. He has led both the teams as the captain.

Fernandinho’s career began at Atlético Paranaense, a Brazilian club, before he signed with Shakhtar Donetsk in the year 2005. In February 2009, he scored the equaliser against Tottenham Hotspur in UEFA Cup, as Shakhtar had an aggregate win by 3–1. In March, he made the penalty shot in a 1–0 win over Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He also scored the first goal in a 3–0 win against Metalist Kharkiv the same month. In March, he scored in a 2–0 win over CSKA Moscow in UEFA Cup. In April, he scored in a 2–1 UEFA Cup victory over Marseille. He also made an important equalizer in the UEFA Cup semi-final against Dynamo Kyiv and helped win the UEFA Cup with a 2–1 win over Werder Bremen in UEFA Cup. He made 11 goals in 42 appearances.
Fernandinho’s first goal in 2009–10 was in July, in a 2–2 Champions League tie with Politehnica Timișoara. In September, he converted a penalty, leading to a 4–2 win over Arsenal Kyiv. He made twice in a 5–1 victory over Karpaty Lviv in October. In October, he opened with a penalty in the 4–0 win over Toulouse in Europa League. He scored in the 2–0 Ukrainian Cup win over Dynamo Kyiv in October. In December, he opened with a penalty against Kryvbas. He made a Ukrainian Cup goal against Metalurh Donetsk, Fernandinho netted four times in that season in 24 league matches in March.
In July, he netted an equaliser in a 1–1 tie with Metalurh Zaporizhya. He opened in a 5–0 win over Sevastopol in August. After an injury in September, he eventually came back in April 2011, following a gap of seven months, he returned with a 3–1 win against Illichivets Mariupol. He scored a match-winner in the 2–1 win over Tavriya. He helped his team win the championship, with three goals from 15 goals.
His first 2011–12 goal was in a 3–1 Super Cup loss to Dynamo Kyiv. In July, he scored the only goal for his team against Arsenal Kyiv. He also scored in a 3–1 win against Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in August. In November, he scored a penalty, in a 5–0 win against Karpaty Lviv. In April, he converted a penalty in a 4–3 win in the Ukrainian Cup against Volyn Lutsk. He scored the match-winner in a 2–1 win over Metalist Kharkiv in May. In 32 games, he scored six goals, during the season. His contract was extended until 2016.

After helping Brazil’s youth team in winning the FIFA World Youth Championship 2003, in August 2011, Fernandinho debuted for the national football team of Brazil in a 3–2 friendly loss to Germany. In March 2014, he made his first international goal against South Africa in a 5–0 victory. He was also announced as a member of the FIFA World Cup 2014 squad. He debuted in the group stage and scored the match-winner in a 4–1 win over Cameroon.
A devout Christian, Fernandinho, was born in the city of Londrina in Brazil. He is married to Glaucia Roza, with whom he has a son. He admits that Jesus is the biggest inspiration in his life.
Fernandinho’s current market value is 15 million EUR. This is a decline from his highest market value of 32 million EUR which he acquired in 2013.
