The ICC Champions Trophy 2017 tournament is here and it promises some of the most thrilling cricket to the fans. Top eight teams are participating in the tournament. The Group A of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 includes the following teams.

It is a highly contested group. England, Australia, and New Zealand will be fancying their chances of getting to the top of the group and securing a place in the semi-finals. The first two teams of every group go the semi-finals. Bangladesh, on the other hand, has also done well during the recent months and they will be looking forward to doing an upset and get to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Consisting mainly of Asian teams, Group B is also highly contested. In fact, it is a much tougher group as compared to the Group A. India seems to be the strongest team of this group on paper. South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan are also pretty strong teams. There will surely be a tough contest in this group among the teams.

The Group matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 started on the 1st of June 2017 and these will go until the 12 June 2017. Each team will play one match against every other team of the same group. After that, the teams that would be on the number 1 and number 2 spot in each group will qualify for the next round of the tournament which will be the knockout round. The number 1 team in the Group A will face the number 2 team in the Group B in a semi-final. And the number 1 team in the Group B will face the number 2 team in the Group A in a semi-final. The semi-finals will take place on the 14 June and the 15 June. The final of the tournament will take place on the 18 June 2017.

It has to be said that both the ICC Champions Trophy Groups 2017 are very tough and they promise great matches. It would be interesting to see that which teams are able to hold their nerves and come out on top from both the groups.
