German midfielder and one of the greatest playmaker of football, Mesut Ozil, who is currently associated with Arsenal, has become the new transfer target of Juventus, after having raised the interest of Manchester United for some time now. The player is yet to confirm a deal with the Emirates, and this could be used as a window of opportunity for the Gunners, to rope MUFC target Ozil in January.

Juventus wants Mesut to join them and help them in their aim to champion the Serie A title. The player is going out of his contract with Arsenal when the season comes to an end, and it seems that he is not looking to renew the deal. This means that the Gunners might have to ship out Ozil from the highest bidder during this month. And now, the Italian club has joined the race to get him.
According to the reports of Corriere Dello Sport, the Italian newspaper, Juventus have been observing the German player, and seem to have the belief that his alliance with Sami Khedira might lead him to be in pole position. But the biggest challengers in the race to get Ozil for Juventus could be none other than Manchester United, and in that case, he would get the chance to work again with his old manager at Real Madrid, i.e. Jose Mourinho.
Earlier, it was reported by Sun Sport that Mourinho has given thumbs up to the decision-makers of the club to try and make Ozil join them with £25 million, at the end of this month. Mourinho has demanded the deal to take place in January, and he fears that a biddng war will take place with Bayern Munich on one side and one of the richest football clubs Paris Saint-Germain, as both the teas are interested to have the 29-year old player on-board.
And now that Juventus seems to have joined the race to get Ozil, things seem to have become even hotter before the transfer. The Glazer family, who are the owners of Manchester United, are beleved to be ready to hand £80 m to Mourinho to get players this month. But there are reports that contradict this claim. If Ozil moves in with a £35 m deal, it would still be less than half the fund allotted to Mourinho at the beginning of 2018.
