Real Madrid player Lucas Vazquez seems to be under the impression that the team boss Zinedine Zidane has been let down by his team’s players in the past couple of weeks. The Spanish player has had an uncommon beginning of the Copa Del Rey match, and in the disappointing draw of 2-2 in the match against second-tier team Numancia, he managed to bag a brace. But now Lucas Vazquez says Zidane is quite under pressure due to the Real Madrid squad.
Lucas Vazquez says “Real Madrid killing Zidane”
But, Real Madrid went on to the quarter-final round, banking on their aggregate score of 5-2. The draw, however, has added to the pressure upon Zidane, who is already tensed because of the poor form of Los Blancos, who now sit in the 4th place on the La Liga table, with a gap of 16 points with the table leader and arch rival team Barcelona.
Vazquez seems to believe that the players now need to take the responsibility of the poor form that they have been displaying this season, because he thinks that as the coach of the team, Zidane is doing the best he can, working hard with the desire to get the team to the top, defending the players all through the year, because he believes in what he said in the press conference: that they are a team. But the players of the team have been letting him down.
Besides defending the former French international footballer, Vazquez also said to the supporters that the players are now trying hard to pull themselves together and push forward to get back on track. He said that the players of the team did everything possible in the last season to give the fans what they want, and as a result of that, fans got to enjoy watching their team win five titles and some amazing matches. They will continue to do everything for the fans and for the team, because that’s the only formula which is supposed to work. He mentioned that the team will fight till the end.
