Luis Alberto Romero Alconchel, famously known as just Luis Alberto, currently plays as an attacking midfielder for the Italian Serie A club S.S. Lazio besides participating regularly for the Spanish national football team. Besides being a midfielder, he can also operate excellently as a winger. Sevilla accepted a €8 Million transfer offer for Alberto from one of the English Premier League winners, Liverpool, on 20th June 2013. Shortly after, he completed the move by joining the Reds on 22nd June 2013. He then made his debut for Liverpool in a friendly match against Preston North End on 13th July 2013. A month later, he made his Premier League debut for the squad against Manchester United on 1st September 2013, as a substitute for Philippe Coutinho. He then made a brilliant assist to Luis Suárez during Liverpool’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur on 15th December 2013.

He joined La Liga club Málaga CF on a season-long loan on 26th June 2014. Shortly after, he scored his first goal for the club in a La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao on 23rd August 2014.
