Marco Reus currently plays as a forward for the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund besides making regular appearances for the German national team. He joined the youth academy system of his native side Post SV Dortmund in 1994, at the age of just 5. After spending two seasons, he joined the Borussia Dortmund in 1996. He signed a five-year deal with his former club Borussia Dortmund on 4th January 2012, for a transfer fee of €17.1 million. But, he officially joined the club on 1st July 2012. Reus then made his debut for Dortmund and scored a goal against Werder Bremen on 24th August 2012. He then scored his first brace for the side against his former club Borussia Mönchengladbach on 29th September 2012. Shortly after, he scored in his UEFA Champions League debut against one of the richest football clubs, Manchester City, on 3rd October 2012.

Reus then scored his first professional hat-trick for Borussia Dortmund against Eintracht Frankfurt on 16th February 2013. Shortly after, he scored a brace against VfL Wolfsburg on 11th May 2013.
