Rumours have been around for a while now that Cristiano Ronaldo has received offers to join his former team, Manchester United, and that Ronaldo’s interested in going back, as well. There have also been talks that due to the differences between Jose Mourinho and the Portuguese player, the two might not work in the same team, after all. Recent reports now say that MUFC boss Jose Mourinho has rejected the chance to sign in the Cristiano Ronaldo deal.

This means that Cristiano Ronaldo is not likely to return to the Old Trafford club and represent English Premier League after a long time, and stay put at his current team, Real Madrid, which is currently in the fourth place on the La Liga table.  The Portuguese international was seemingly upset with the Spanish team for not letting him leave the team and go to Manchester United with a better salary, as well as the fact that Ronaldo’s demand for a new contract with improved deals to ensure a hike in has not received good response from club president Florentino Perez.

At the start of the current season, Ronaldo was allegedly interested to leave Real Madrid, after the club did not provide much support to him during his tax fraudulence allegations. However, he continued to play in the team, but has not been able to put up a great display. He has only scored 18 goals this season, and his team, which earned the La Liga as well as Champions League titles, has not been great, either.

According to the recent reports of BeIN SPORTS’s Palmeri Tancredi, Jose Mourinho had a meeting with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes for a discussion regarding the player’s potential move, but rejected the opportunity let the player return to MUFC. Whether the reason is their professional difference or the price that the player has demanded is not known.
