English footballer Phil Jones currently plays as a centre-back for the England national team besides his participation for the Premier League club Manchester United. Besides his regular position, Jones often played for his teams as a defensive midfielder or right back. He started his football journey with Blackburn Rovers youth academy during his childhood. Phil Jones Early Career

Jones started his footballing journey while playing for the Ribble Wanderers under-10 team during his early childhood. He then joined the youth academy system of Blackburn Rovers in 2002 at the age of just ten. Jones was one of the students of former-rovers coach Caroline Molyneaux during his youth career. He developed his skills through hardcore training and has earned promotion through several age-levels at the academy. Following his marvellous performance as a youth talent, Jones earned his place in the senior squad in 2009.

Right after his promotion to the senior squad, Jones signed a two-year contract with Blackburn Rovers in 2009. He then made his debut for the senior side in a League Cup match against Nottingham Forest on 22nd September 2009. Jones signed a new five-year deal with the club in February 2010, having a £16 million release clause. He made his Premier League debut for Blackburn Rovers against Chelsea on 21st March 2010.
