For a while now, there have been rumours that make the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at Real Madrid seem uncertain. Real Madrid rejects Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract demands due to rising doubts of his future
According to the recent reports in Spain, the Spanish club, which currently occupies the fourth place on the La Liga table, has refused to meet the latest demands for changes in the terms of the contract between Ronaldo and Real Madrid. Ronaldo’s contract was signed in 2016, and it runs till 2021. However, the five-time winner of Ballon d’Or has shown interest in the upgradation of the terms of his contract at the Bernabeu, in order to get a raise in his payment level, and level it with the salary that Lionel Messi draws from Barcelona.
Recent reports say that Ronaldo’s rival at Barcelona has signed new contract that assures a huge pay. However, in case of Ronaldo, who is suffering a drop in his form in the 2017-18 season, Real Madrid chiefs are interested in meeting his demands. Mundo Deportivo has reported that Manchester United might be the next destination for Ronaldo, but the Bernabeu club is yet to get offers for him from the club. However, it has also been reported that his exit seems like a possibility at the end of this season, if there is no extension.
It seems that club boss Zinedine Zidane, who created an amazing team with Ronaldo and company, is the only man who has agreed to an extension of the contract. However, he also believes that even if such a contract extension takes place, the deal will not guarantee the future of the player’s association with the club.
