According to the recent media reports in Spain, Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi is allegedly set for a sensational Real Madrid transfer for a whooping €92m price. Media house Calciomercato also claimed that to think about the possible Madrid transfer Icardi still not signed an extension at the Italian side. It is reported that Los Blancos are trying to sign this 24-year-old world class striker for a €9m salary per season after tax and will also have 30% stake from any image rights deal that Icardi would sign with the Galacticos.

It is also reported that the RB Leipzig talisman Timo Werner was the favourite to have an expensive transfer to Santiago Bernabeu in January, but now the inside story tells that Icardi has taken over Werner’s place in the next January transfer window. During the Spanish TV show El Chiringuito de Jugones, Spanish sports journalist Pipi Estrada told Football Italia that Real Madrid already made a bid for Mauro Icardi for €80m transfer price along with €12m in bonuses. He also claimed that Icardi already went for a medical checkup for the Real Madrid transfer on Boxing Day. Madrid’s Manager Zinedine Zidane now looks desperate to give a good striking boost to the squad after spending below par first half of this football season.
Despite the claim of Pipi Estrada, the world class striker of Milan recently expressed his desire to stay in the Serie A side while praising the strategy of Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, who is according to him is one of the best football coaches the world has ever seen. While talking to Football Italia, he said “I believe that my Argentina call-ups are a reward for what I’ve done so far in an Inter shirt. Everything’s going well at the minute, and I hope to keep going like this until the end of the season, with this rate of goalscoring, to have a chance of going to Russia.” When he was asked about his possible transfer story to Bernabeu, he said “Real Madrid? My family is happy in Italy. We’re first and I’m top scorer. What more could I ask for?”
Due to a controversial remark that Mauro Icardi made in a book last year, the relationship of him with the Inter Milan fanbase suffered a huge downturn. But now the relationship went up dramatically, all thank to his awesome goalscoring performance this season and the success that he produced for the Italian side. Inter is now sitting at the top of Serie A table where Icardi scored 16 goals in first 15 matches this season. While talking about the future plan of Icardi, his wife Wanda Nara told in the television program Verissimo that he “would stay at Inter all his life” and added that his future “depends on other things.”
