After a brief stint with the Atlético Madrid first-squad, Niguez joined Rayo Vallecano in a full-season loan on 21st July 2013. He played 34 matches for Vallecano while scoring twice. He returned to Atlético in 2014 and participated in both the legs of 2014 Supercopa de España against Real Madrid. Shortly after, he scored an acrobatic goal through a bicycle kick in a derby against Real Madrid on 7th February 2015.
