Willian Borges da Silva, commonly known by the name Willian, represents the national football team of Brazil. Besides, he plays for Chelsea, in the English Premier League. As a talented player, he performs the role of a winger as well as an attacking midfielder.

As part of their youth program, Willian stayed associated with Corinthians from 1998. Then, in the year 2007, he began playing for their first team. Eventually, he appeared in five league games in his first season; this helped the team get a position in the middle of the table. Next, in the following season with Corinthians, he played in 11 league matches, in which he scored twice. This led the team to gain the 17th place on Série A table, and they had to face relegation.

He was born in Ribeirão Pires, in the state of São Paulo in Brazil, to father Severino da Silva and Maria da Silva. He is married to Vanessa Martins, and the couple has twin daughters, Manuella and Valentina. In October 2016, his mother passed away, when she was 57. To pay respect to the departed soul, as well as to Willian for going through the loss, his team manager and teammates dedicated two goals and the win to Willian and his mom.
