Barcelona seems to have made good use of the January transfer window. They have roped in new players including Philippe Coutinho from Liverpool, and Yerry Mina from Palmeiras. The 23 years old footballer from Columbia has signed a deal of £10.5 million with Barcelona recently, for a January transfer from the Brazilian club. What’s more, Yerry Mina welcomed by the team, especially by Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

The centre-back from Columbia is now in a contract of five and a half years with the Spanish club, which is currently sitting at the top of the La Liga table, after ending the series as the runner up in the last season, losing the title to their arch rival, Real Madrid who are right now in the fourth place on the table, 16 points behind Barca.

Mina was revealed to the fans of his new club only recently, and has already become a favourite of the fans as well as the players. The player has not only received a warm welcome from the fans, but has also mentioned, during a press conference, that it was Luis Suarez and one of the greatest footballers Lionel Messi who made him feel comfortable in the team. The defender said that he is very satisfied to be at Barca and be able to fulfill his dreams, after working and struggling to chase this, and always being with his feet on the floor, his vision high up. He has tried to do his bit, learning and helping, and now he hopes to do the same at Barcelona, which he considers the best club in the world.

He added further that he wants to make history at Barcelona with his new team mates, and the authorities, as well as the entire team of Barcelona, and he hopes to succeed. He mentioned that Messi, for him, is the best in the world, and the first impression he had of the star player is that he is really humble; Mina remembered that he was on the bench, when both Messi and Suarez approached him, and it felt special.
