28 July 2016 – Real Madrid started the 2016/17 football campaign with the International Champions Cup. The Spanish club faced Paris Saint-Germain from France in their first fixture and lost the match by 1-3.

30 July 2016 – Real Madrid faced Chelsea FC in its second fixture of International Champions Cup. This time Real Madrid was the winner by 3 goals to 2.

4 August 2016 – Real Madrid had another tough match in the International Champions Cup on 4th August. Real Madrid defeated Bayern Munich by 1 – 0.

9 August 2016 – Real Madrid FC faced Sevilla in the UEFA Super Cup on 9th August 2017. Real Madrid won the match by 3 – 2.

16 August 2016 – Real Madrid played a friendly match against Reims on 16th August and won the match comfortably with the scoreline of 5 – 3.

21 August 2016 – The first match of Real Madrid in La Liga 2016/17 was on 21st August 2016. Real Madrid started the La Liga campaign with a bang and defeated Real Sociedad by 3-0.

15 October 2016 – Finaly Real Madrid found its form and defeated Real Betis comprehensively by 1 – 6. It was a La Liga fixture. The huge win gave some much needed confidence to the players and it set the tone for some amazing performances in next matches.

18 October 2016 – On 18th October Real Madrid hosted Legia Warsaw in a Champions League match. It proved to be another easy match for Real Madrid and they won the match by 5 goals to 1.

29 October 2016 – Real Madrid continued their impressive run with another comprehensive victory. This time the opponent was Alaves. The scoreline of this La Liga match was 1 – 4 in favor of Real Madrid.

2 November 2016 – Real Madrid visited Pepsi Arena, the home ground of Legia Warsaw for  Champions League match on 2nd November 2016. It proved to be a tough game for the Madrid side. Both the teams played aggressively and the final scoreline was 3 – 3.

6 November 2016 – Real Madrid defeated Leganes by 3 – 0 in a Spanish League fixture on 6th November.

19 November 2016 – Real Madrid visited Vicente Calderon on 19th November 2016 to face Atletico Madrid away from home. It proved to be another easy game for Real Madrid and they won the match easily by 3 – 0.

22 November 2016 – Real Madrid faced Sporting Lisbon away from home on 22nd November and won the well contested match by 1 – 2.

26 Nov 2016 – On 26th November 2016 Real Madrid faced Sporting Gijon in a La Liga match. The final score was 2 – 1 in favor of Real Madrid.

30 November 2016 – Real Madrid faced Cultural Leonesa on 30th November 2016 in a Copa del Rey match. The final score was 6 – 1 in favor of Real Madrid.

3 December 2016 – The first El-Classico of the season 2016/17 took place on 3rd December 2016 at Camp Nou. The match ended in a tie. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid scored 1 goal each.

7 December 2016 – Real Madrid once again played Borussia Dortmund in Champions League. This time the match was at Santiago Bernabeu. The final score  of the match remained 2 – 2.

10 December 2016 – Real Madrid faced Deportivo La Coruna on 10th December 2017 in a La Liga fixture. Real Madrid came out stronger and scored 3 goals. Deportivo La Coruna could only score 2 goals.

18 December 2016 – Real Madrid traveled all the way to Japan to play the final of International FIFA Club World Cup 2016 against Kashima Antlers. As expected Real Madrid won the match by 4 – 2 thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick.
