Spanish footballer Gerard Deulofeu currently plays as the forward for the English Premier League club Watford on loan from Barcelona FC. Deulofeu started his footballing journey with his native club Penya Bons Aires in 2001 at the age of just 7. After two successful training seasons with the club, he moved to the ‘La Masia’ youth academy system of Barcelona in 2003 at the age of 9. He earned his place in the Barcelona U-13 team in 2005 and went on to represent the youth squads of Barcelona.
