China’s President Xi started to show his interest in football way back in 2014 and decided to put the country’s name in the world football scenario while having in mind the plan to make it a footballing superpower. And to impress the president, several business tycoons started to buy clubs of the Chinese football league and also started to spend millions and millions to bring world’s most famous players in the club. Several ageing stars of football standing at the twilight of their career happily accepted the golden ticket and responded to some of these richest sports club owners who are throwing spectacular amounts of money to decorate their squads.

The extravagant lifestyle of foreign players in the Chinese football league

Most of the famous names of football turned their head from the lucrative offers just because they didn’t want to move halfway across the globe and to play for the side which even they never heard of. But for some players the amount which they were offered is too much to refuse. And with this up-growing graph of football expenses in China, the country will soon have atleast five out of the top 10 highest paid footballers in the world. But as of now, few of the super-rich footballers remain in china and living an extravagant life while playing a few numbers of games per season, mostly against low-quality opponents in the Chinese football league.
